I am a New England native and have resided in the Fox Valley for almost 12 years. With over 20 years experience in the fitness field and 12 years in the healthcare field, I possess a strong background in working with clients from young athletes to seniors. A graduate of Boston 's Newbury College , I am also a licensed physical therapist assistant. My physical therapy background enables me to read students' bodies and guide them into proper alignment avoiding risk for injury.

I was first introduced to yoga in 1978 by my high school Phys. Ed. Teacher. Through the years, I exposed myself to various styles of yoga including but not limited to Iyengar, Anusara, Ashtanga, Bikram, and vinyasa. My passion is in the style of vinyasa. After many years of practice I attained my RYT through Yoga Alliance.

I am a true believer in education and continue to attend workshops and teacher training's lead by respected teachers such as: Seane Corn, Scott Blossom, Jonny Kest, David Life, Duncan Wong, Niki Doane, Eddie Modestini, Baron Baptiste, Sara Meeks and many others on a regular basis in order to offer my students the latest and safe techniques. I encourage my students to find their edge; however, to also take care of themselves at the same time.

I am very excited to bring you Gateway Yoga and look forward to leading you into the practice of yoga. I believe once you are hooked you will wonder how you lived without this ancient practice that facilitates a strong body and peaceful mind.

Michele started practicing yoga to find her breath in an effort to expand her black belt training in Tae Kwon Do. She loved the heat and the intensity of each and every class and discovered the inner transformation of personal and spiritual growth. After completing her CYT, RYT and CTA at Midwest Power Yoga, She attended Baptiste Level 1 & Level 2 Teacher Training Boot Camps.

“At Level 2 Teacher Training in Montana and with Baron's guidance, I found my breath - which I was so desperately seeking and I renewed my spiritual faith. My inner light began to shine and I was given wings to fly. My own personal transformation was so strong and powerful. It has become the foundation for my desire to teach Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga and to reach out to others and to provide them with the same opportunity for personal transformation within their own lives.”

Michele received her Baptiste Certification in March of 2006. She assisted Gregor Singleton at Yoga Journal's Lake Geneva Conference in May 2007.

Michele's high energy classes are grounded with her belief that each student's practice is different every time they step onto their mat. By practicing kindness and acceptance you are able to deepen your practice both physically and spiritually. When she is not teaching or practicing, you can find Michele volunteering at school or at home with her family.
